I have awful thrush come on following a course of antibiotics. The only thing that ever treats it is a canestan pessary but I’m due to take my utrogestran tablets vaginally tonight. I presume I can’t take both vaginally? Anyone know from their own previous medical advice as Impossible to get medical advice today. I guess I could take utrogestran orally for a bit (which will give me horrid tummy side effects) . Thanks

Have you tried fluconzole before? It is an oral thrush medication that clears it very quickly!

No I hadn’t heard of that, thank you so much, I gather from Google it can be purchased without a prescription

@Holibobs11
Another “yes” for Fluconazole!
You can buy it over the counter from a pharmacy/supermarket pharmacy, or online.
It’s a one-tablet dose.
I too get thrush after antibiotics and it works for me.

Yes no need for a prescription - get the non branded version (not canesten as it is far cheaper!) I get thrush every single month so it’s good to keep costs down and they have the exact same ingredients !
