Bleeding after 6 days

So I started hrt patch and progesterone 6 days ago for peri symptoms. I started on both 2 weeks before my period was due.

I've started bleeding today 7 days before my period is due. My question is, is this normal and should I still take the progesterone for the remaining 6 days out of the 12 advised even though I've started bleeding now?

Not sure if it's my period early (which never usually comes more than a day or 2 early) or it's due to the hrt.

Can anyone advise please?

Similar thing happened to me. I did the wrong thing (apparently) and stopped taking the meds as prescribed and had the most awful period ever and still have a light(er) period almost 4 weeks later!

I've been to see dr to make sure it's nothing sinister.

So stay on the initial schedule oestrogel for another week and then 2 weeks of progesterone.

Thanks @underneaththeash I managed to speak with the dr yesterday. She told me to keep taking the progesterone for another week then stop for 2.
What I forgot to ask her is will I bleed again after stopping the progesterone. Do you have any idea?

I'm not even sure that they know! I'm back on it and due to take pg on Saturday, so could let you know.

The annoying thing is that I'm a HCP, but I know relatively little about sex hormones as they don't massively affect the eye. Anything else I could actually research properly!
