Mirena And Breakthrough Bleeding

Has anyone else had this? I had a coil for 5-6 years and I recall 2/3 years in I suddenly started spotting for a couple of days. Then again the following month, etc. Maybe 3 months and then it stoppped. Previously and subsequently no periods. I now have a second mirena. Am 2 years in. No bleeding until last week. 7 days of light spotting. Light to start and lighter and lighter each day but not nothing.

I'm 50. My guess is that I am not post menopause. Those wee checks say I'm not.

Has anyone else had this? My gp said breakthrough bleeding can happen. And a visual inspection of my vagina and cervix was ok.
