Too much or too little Oestrogen ?

Hi
I've been on the 75 patch since around October 2020 ( give or take a few weeks).

I have the Mirena for progesterone.

Back in October last year, my Oestrogen levels were around 465 and I felt okay. Bleeding was my issue, so specialist swapped me to femeston 1mg (February 2022) Within 3 months, my levels were down to 300 and my bladder went awol ( atrophy).

So, in May this year I restarted my 75 patch and had the coil fitted.

Trouble is now, although I feel " okay" I don't feel myself. I feel a bit detached, jittery, heightened sense of smell and sound in particular and anxiety kind of bubbling in the background and don't sleep that well.

Does this sound like I need more Oestrogen or less?
Maybe I'm not absorbing the patch any more?

I'm going to book a blood test to check levels at the end of this month anyway I think.

Thanks

It could be the progesterone is wrong for you now. Maybe have the Mirena coil removed and use a vaginal, body identical progesterone like utrogestan.

the oestrogen sounds fine and 75 is equivalent to three pumps of oestrodose gel.

maybe change to use an oestrogen gel as well, instead of the patches, as you can see if you can operate “normally” with 2 pumps, or 3, or whether you feel better with 4?

your GP will advise better than me. I use a, oestrogen gel and vaginal progesterone as I used to get PMT and can’t tolerate synthetic progestins, and I like to be able to change my oestrogen gel dose down or up immediately if I feel I need to.

Might be progesterone, I've not experienced that one, though I recently went from a 50 patch to a 75 and had a few weeks of jitteriness and not sleeping well. Calf aches too and water retention. It seems to have settled a bit after 5 weeks.

I use utrogestan vaginally and have no side effects

Thanks.
I quite like the mirena ( I think ) as utrogestan didn't control my bleeding at all ( and irritated my insides vaginally) so don't want that again.

I've since started a 50 patch with 1mg of gel and don't feel too bad mood wise. I may ditch the patch and just use gel, to see how i feel.
