No Sleep Affecting Work

I am in my early 50s and the menopause has affected my sleep. I tend to get less sleep as the week progresses. If I have a good 7.5 hours sleep one night I will struggle to sleep the next.

I find it hard to function on 5 hours sleep a night and it affects me being productive at work and makes me feel depressed.

I'm so busy at work at the moment I may well catch up on Sunday when I've caught up on sleep. If my employer notices should I be honest and say the menopause if affecting my sleep? Have any of you mentioned menopause symptoms to employers who are both male and female?

I'm having sleep issues too and yes I've mentioned it to my employer (mainly because I've had to reduce my hours as have such a full on job I wasn't coping).

I haven't specifically mentioned menopause as I don't know for sure it's related (although I suspect it is). My employer has been supportive though.
