Magnesium seems to be helping my sleep

This week I started some magnesium tablets that were advised on here by a poster. And although I’m not sleeping any longer ( always awake between 5 and 6) the quality of sleep is better, even if I’ve had a glass of wine.
No waking with my heart pounding and feeling restless after wine, just good solid sleep.
Hopefully it stays this way 🤞🏻

That is good to know! Do you take them before bed or anytime?

Magnesium makes me feel weird and gives me dodgy tum. Glad it works for you: I periodically take it b/c evidence suggests it could help with a number of issues but it’s a supplement I don’t get on with.

The instructions say one in the morning and two an hour before bed, but I’ve just been taking the two before bed at the moment.

There are different types of magnesium, and i know one of them can cause diarrhoea. Have you tried different types ?

Yes, have tried a few different kids over the last few years. ☹️ But I try to eat magnesium rich food instead: for me it’s about trying to avoid osteoporosis (my mother is crumbling before my eyes and it’s terrifying).
