Does HRT help regulate periods?

I've been prescribed evorel 50 and utrogestan for suspected peri symptoms (but haven't started yet) One of which is frequent scanty periods, I've just started spotting again today only 2 days after a prolonged but light period.

I know side effects might include irregular bleeding initially but should the end result be a more regular bleed?

Were you offered a mirena coil ?

No and I don't think I'd want one. My periods aren't heavy actually more scanty then they have every been just a bit on the erratic side

With sequential HRT you will get a withdrawal bleed once a month. In time, this ought to synch with your own cycle, but not always immediately. It depends how far you are in peri.

Thanks @JinglingHellsBells that's helpful. Could you elaborate re what you mean about depends where in peri menopause you are?

I've been tracking for about a year and noticed gradual symptoms over that time.
