Period changes still within normal?

I am 49, my periods started getting erractic about 10 months ago after a couple of years of peri symptoms.

I am just not sure if it's something worth seeing GP over.

Pat six months I have skipped two periods, had shorter ones, two very heavy long ones etc. All to be expected, but this month, I have had two periods in 6 weeks. On at the moment with the period from hell pain wise and a horrendous 5 days of migraines to go with it.

I have had one health issue after another for the past year, and quite frankly I am fed up of seeing my GP and I'm sure they feel the same. Should I just put up with this and weather the red storm, or worth seeing GP.

I don't even know if HRT would help me. I haven't had any hot flushes yet, plenty of F*KING mood swings though!

I think I’d give HRT a go, to see if it helps or not. You can always stop it if it doesn’t.

I could have lived without HRT if my only symptoms had been erratic periods. Unfortunately I had severe fatigue as a symptom which meant I sought help from my GP and eventual hormonal blood tests that showed early menopause.

It wasn't until I started taking the HRT and I stopped with loads of other things including the mood swings, headaches, stiffness, that I realised the other areas of my health that were slowly being impacted.

Feel 100 times better in many areas of my life now that I am on HRT.

Oh and I never had hot flushes either

My biggest worry is HRT making the migraines worse. I always had migraines but a year shifted to vestibular migraines which are just awful. I'm on meds for them already.

The best treatment for your periods is the Mirena coil.

Hrt won't necessarily regulate your periods, because sometimes in early peri your own period will come regardless of the HRT withdrawal bleed (or maybe not- everyone is different.)

It depends if you have other symptoms. You said you have been to the drs a lot so are you other illnesses related to peri but you've not recognised them as such?
