Blood tests

I’m 41 and haven’t had a period for 4 mths and they’ve been erratic the last 18 mths (which I attributed to the vaccine as seemed to correlate)
I’ve not had lots of typical menopausal symptoms but have had low mood and fatigue/muscle aches. Doctor is doing two blood tests 6 weeks apart to rule things out as well as look at hormones.
I’ve looked at results today (and whilst I know you shouldn’t) have googled them as a few are abnormal and some don’t say. My FSH is 40.2 IU/L and my LH is 97.6 IU/L Googling tells me this is very high and indicates menopause. Is it that clear cut? (Guessing they’d need to be high in a few weeks too though?) or could they spike for another reason?
My mean corpusc haemaglobin also higher than it should be and my red blood cell distribution width also too high. Both say abnormal on patient access
would these also be linked to menopause or something else?

Hi. I'm having the same issue.
I had an ectopic pregnancy in November but after the methotrexate treatment my periods can back regular.
But, may 4th I was due on but I m now about 50 days late.
My bloods were also abnormal (taken last week)
Serum FSH is... 141
Serum LH is.... 49.2
Oestradiol is...88

I feel so uncomfortably bloated and crampy and worried I'll not come on or that this now means I can not conceive 😩

Also, my Vit D and Vit B12 is on the low side (Abnormal) so not sure that has anything to do with it. Other bloods were fine.

@Teacherteachernotapreacher that's a really high FSH result and does indicate menopause.

@Missb11 you're on the menopause forum which I think is a mistake.

Yeah everything I’ve googled indicates that. I’m kind of hoping it’s a weird spike and next tests will show different but I think I’m dreaming really.

How old was your DM when she went through menopause ?

Mid 50s. There’s no history of early menopause in my family at all and my older sister still hasn’t. Hence my sense of denial and surprise I think. Also wondering if something in my medical history has triggered it somehow

Hi sorry, why do you think I shouldn't be in in here?
I'm 43 next week so possible for peri or early menopause. My bloods FSH is high at 114 and LH high too and in the abnormal range on my print out. Oestradiol 88 whereas a few years ago it was in the 1000's.
I don't understand alot of it so I am really trying to get my head around it all. My period is very late, I'm having hot flushes and other symptoms too. I'm so confused.
Where should I post as I can't seem to find where to get the help from.
