Evorel 75 patch and Utrogestan (oral tablets) - dosage question

Morning all,

I have searched Mumsnet and the internet and can't find an answer to my question so thought I'd ask here (couldn't get through to the docs yesterday).

I've been on Evorel Sequi patches for 18 months and have just switched to Evorel 75 patches plus Utrogestan tablets. When I start the tablets on day 15, do I still continue to wear the patch at the same time? There's nothing anywhere that says I shouldn't but wanted to check.

Thanks 😊

Yes, the oestrogen patch is continuous and used all the time

siblingrevelryagain · 18/06/2022 07:03

I’m on the same regime and patches are continuous

SaintVal · 18/06/2022 10:14

Thank you both 😊

Word of advice; make sure your skin is super dry and not moisturised (even from a moisturising shower gel), or you may find they don’t stick. I’ve never had trouble but my sis in law has

as for the sticky residue, a rough dry towel or flannel will get it off

AyeCarrumba · 31/01/2023 22:30

I'm switching too!
If I start with 2 weeks of patch then do 2 weeks of patch and utrogestan - and repeat, is that right?

AyeCarrumba · 31/01/2023 22:30

So 4 patches without
Then 4 patches with Utrogestan?

Dogsgottabone · 01/02/2023 13:04

No @AyeCarrumba you wear the patches all the time.

I start my utrogestan on the 21st of every month for 12 days then stop.

But my patch remains on. (obvs I change it twice a week.)

Dogsgottabone · 01/02/2023 13:05

I've just reread your post.

I only take utrogestan for 12 days so doesn't cover 4 patches for me.

Yes 4 patches with no Utrogestan
... and then 4 patches with Utrogestan too.

Sorry @ChillTheFuckOut my eyes are a bit blurry today, will think before I post in future!

Last month I started Evorel 75 patches combined with 200mg Utrogestan - no side effects till I had my withdrawal bleed this has now lasted 13 days, is this normal? Due to being unable to bow fill the prescription I’ve now been prescribed Kliofem - anyone any advice??

poodleZ2 · 20/06/2023 11:37

I changed from Evorel conti to Evorel 75 + 100mg Ultrogestan in January I hadn’t had any breakthrough bleed before starting new combination but now have one every 2 weeks that last for 10 days this has been happening for 3 months. Is this normal?
I’m waiting for see my GP

Hi can I just ask, you do take 2 utrogestan pills starting on day 15 to day 26 ( count 15 days from your first day of period) I get so confused . I started bleeding when I took the pills for 7 days straight x

Crazybeez · 03/03/2024 09:52

I'm about to start the Evorel 75 and Utrogestan 100.

Do I need to wait until my first day of my period before I start to put on the patch and taking Utrogestan capsules 15 days after or can I start with the patch anytime and follow it with Utrogestan capsules 15 days later?

I'm so confused 😔.
