I still have a normal but heavy period roughly every 28 days. I've to take 2 pumps of oestrogel which should not b applied over lotions or sun screen. Also been prescribed utrageston I've read that many ppl use utrogestan vaginally but my script says oral use. Also I've to take x2 100mg capsules at bedtime from days 15 to 26. I was confused if this was 15th of month and some people in forum said it doesnt matter what date as long as u take it same 12 days each month? Having talked to pharmacy this am..he said it does matter and day 15 refers to 15 days after your next period starts (ovulation time)..because this works with and will b least disruptive to your bodys hormonal current rhythm. Does this confuse anyone else?

Yes I'm struggling too having been prescribed the same myself today! Especially as the tablets box label says take for 14 days and the inner leaflet says 12!
With sequi tablets/patches you have exactly 2 weeks of estrogen followed by two weeks of progesterone, so I've basically got my calendar out and marked on it when to take the 14 days of Utrogestan. (15 days from today).
My periods are all over the place and also started mini pill two weeks ago so I'm not going to try and work out where I am in my cycle and just start the gel tonight and will start the tablets in 15 days.
If you know where you are in your cycle it'll be easier to work out when would be best to start the gel, as estrogen is usually started on day 1 if it's tablets or patches. Then 15 days later start the tablets for two weeks (as well as gel) then off for two weeks and just repeat each month. Does that make sense?

Also if you have a cycle tracker app it'll tell you which are days 15-26, those are the days to take the tablets 👍🏼

I started it in balance with my usual cycle. So I think it was for 12 days from day 15-26 inclusive, hence I started it on the 15th day from when my period started (I track on Fitbit app anyway). I concluded this least likely to cause unpredictable bleeding as the Utrogestan induced bleed should coincide with natural bleed

I found the patches quite confusing at first also. I didn't even know the pack contained different patches!. The first patch was actually OK but when it came to switching patches, it made me really angry..like the worst rage! To be fair, I probably didn't give them long enough.

Sorry..my msgs r all over the place..im new here! Yes I was told that it would mess up your cycle alot less if u started treatment on the 15th day of your period..which is easier if u still have them but otherwise I think it must just be a quess

JesusWearsPrada thankyou ..didn't realise I should start the oestrogel earlier than utrogestan tabs but that makes sense!
