Hair loss?

I’m nearly 50 and menopausal. I started taking HRT about a year and a half ago and it’s been fine with no real issues.

However, in the last few months, it looks a bit like my hair is thinning around the top of my forehead, similar to male pattern baldness. It’s not hugely noticeable but I’m worried that it will get worse. I have long hair and it’s pretty much one of the only nice things left about the way I look.

Is this a thing and is there anything I can do to stop it?

I lost a lot of hair at my fringe and it’s never grown back. GP said to take iron but it did nothing.
I’d be interested to hear from anyone who has tried the nail/hair supplements.

I take iron supplements daily along with vitamin c, omega oils and magnesium/calcium. My hair generally gets washed every other day and I try to avoid over-styling or pulling it back too tightly.

I'm in the same position and have taken supplements which have no effect. It's so depressing.
I'm interested in having a hair implant but does it actually work for women? I think you have to leave it alone for three months to see if the hair folicles 'take', but what woman can do nothing with their hair each day and expect to look okay? With men, who naturally don't do a lot of blow drying, I can imagine there is more success.
