Anyone found HRT makes them even MORE ragey?

Just started on HRT this week (estrogen). Have relatively mild menopause symptoms (I think), mainly night sweats, disrupted sleep, brain fog and sudden tendency to get really angry about trivial stuff but nothing I couldn't handle.

Only been on it a week so it may be too early to tell but its already made a noticeable difference to my quality of sleep and haven't had a night sweat since I started taking it. But I seem to be significantly more angry than I was before I started taking it. Absolutely on the cusp of shouting at my daughter 24 hours a day, she is really getting on my nerves (not expressing this but I'm biting my lip).

It's actually made me much more short-tempered and likely to explode than I was before. Has anyone else had this? Wondering if this is to be expected as part of the "settling in" process or if I should be thinking about switching HRT?

Are you not having progesterone too ?
I found the mire a coil calmed my rage, but I’m not on oestrogen/HRT.

I got this too, and had to change hrt. Gave it about 6 months first in case it settled down, should have just changed. The progesterone days make me very mad so I’m switching to a coil once I can get an appointment.

Thanks all, I'm on a Mirena coil for progesterone (and pre menopause that was a lifesaver for me which sorted out a lot of these symptoms) so I assume that the rage is either a result of the menopause or the increased estrogen (or both).

@BadAtMaths2 do you mind telling me which brand you went onto which helped?

A week isn't very long. I had some settling in problems around being over emotional in first few weeks. (However, baseline emotions shaky before hrt!). It did settle though keep eye on patterns in my cycle.
I am on Femoston and sleep improvement was first thing I noticed.

It makes me very jittery, especially initially.

Could be that externalising?

I ve had patches for 6 months now, helped with sweats and I sleep better but I cant cope with the irregular spotting that started a couple of months back and have now turned into week long periods. I'm not using them any more, but flushes haven't returned.
