On 3 pumps of Oestrogel at 47. Is that high?

Currently on 3 pumps of Oestrogel and still getting awful night sweats and anxiety/insomnia returning. I feel like I shouldn’t be on such a high dose of Oestrogel at 47 and I’m still having periods. Is this a lot for my age? I’m worried there’s something else going on.

I'm on 3 a day. Seems about right for me. What kind of progesterone are you on? Sometimes it's that that needs a tweak too. Is your GP knowledgeable? Check out the menopause matters site and DrMenopausecare on insta

I use a 100mcg patch which is equivalent more or less to 4 pumps and have been on that since I was 42 and am now 50. Some younger women need more oestrogen than others . I tried to reduce to 75 but it didn't work as well. Hope that helps

I’m on 2x100 mg Utrogestan on days 14-26. Not really spoken to my GP, she’s just prescribed the HRT and increased the oestrogel when I’ve still had symptoms. I’ll have a look at DrMenopuse thanks. TBH I’m tempted to have a private menopause appointment but the cost puts me off.

I thought younger people often need more.
