Im 34 years old and for over a year I've been having night sweats even in a cold room with a very thin duvet in my underwear. Mood swings for a long time too, headaches and the last week I've had soreness and tenderness in my right breast. Sometimes it's both but mainly right one.

I had my coil out 2 weeks ago as it was causing me a lot of pain and periods leaking through my clothes at work :-/ I was meant to start the pill but my period was due today and nothing happened yet.
I know I need to go doctor but I'm so unhappy with myself and I'm scared.

Also before the coil out I am snappy at people sometimes, getting hair on my top lip. I have had aching joints for years but they ache all the times. Constantly tired so I don't know? What are tour thoughts please?

Two negative pregnancy tests and the coil only out 2 weeks ago makes it v unlikely that you're pregnant. So definitely see the GP. There's something else going on here.

Having the coil out could be the reason why you haven't come on your period. As you aren't having the hormones being released in to your body any more it can affect periods for a while.

It doesn't sound particularly like either menopause or pregnancy, and you'd be very very young for menopause anyway. It sounds more like an endocrine or hormonal issue, maybe PCOS, or maybe something else altogether. See a doctor

Any other symptoms? Weight change? Swelling or pain anywhere?

Loopyloopy · 08/05/2022 11:44

With the sweats, it could be premature menopause. If it is, it's really important to get HRT to protect your heart.

@Alicew00 just wanted to know what happened; did your period come or did you visit your GP?
