Anyone else started HRT with Lenzetto spray?

I've read about lots of people being moved to Lenzetto because of the shortages of gel but not found anything from women who've started on it.

I had a Mirena fitted for progesterone 12 days ago and started Lenzetto on Wednesday - 1 spray a day.

I've heard it can take 3 months for HRT to kick in, but I'm already feeling so much better mentally, although experiencing some spotting, cramping and very mild and brief feelings of nausea.

Has anyone else experienced this fast a reaction? I suspect it might be psychosomatic at finally having the drugs after starting enquiries before Christmas, but would be really interested to hear others experiences as feel a bit (happily) bewildered atm!

Will be following with interest, as this is going to be my regime soon.
I'm also getting a coil fitted in a couple of weeks.
How do you get on with the coil?

Lenzetto I've read, is quite a weak product in comparison to the gel for example? Time will tell I guess!

Good luck.

Hi @Runaround50

I had a Mirena for 10 years after having my DD.

Had to have an ovary removed in 2015 so asked them to remove it and clip my tubes at the same time as at 39 I wanted to be aware of what my body was up to!

So having gotten on really well with it previously as soon as I knew that was an option for HRT it was first my choice. I didn't have a period at all on it before, which I hope will happen again as there has been no pattern to my cycle for some time and don't like the idea I might get caught out. Sometimes I'll go 4 months without a period then have 2 in 3 weeks which isn't fun.

Yes I've read that Lenzetto isn't the strongest product but I'm happy with that if it works.

Yes if it works, then it doesn't matter if it's a bit weaker . I like the ease of use and it dries mega fast!

I was on the 75 patch but it makes me bleed each month, even though I'm meant to be post menopausal. Am hoping the mirena will sort the bleeding out and I don't get any horrid side effects.

Fingers crossed

MintyCedricRidesAgain · 08/05/2022 11:55

Hope ot works for you.

I was really surprised how fast it dried actually. I'm spraying on my thigh rather than my arm because its too bloody hot for long sleeves and I have cats!

Yes it dries within seconds, so that's a bonus!

Really hope it works for you.

Just a question re the coil. Can you feel it or are you aware it's there? I'm feeling a bit twitchy about having an " object" fitted ( if you see what I mean?)

I had my first month on Oestrogel, then had to switch to Lenzetto because there's no gel to be had anywhere. Used it for two months now.

When I switched, I felt anxious and had hot flushes. I starting using it on lower inner arm rather than "below waist" (as directed by my GP) and this helped; but I needed an extra squoosh to really make it work. Now it's mostly fine.

The problem I find with it is that the spray is inconsistent: it seems to dispense different amounts each time which means an irregular dose. I'll switch back to the gel if it ever reappears in pharmacies.

MintyCedricRidesAgain · 09/05/2022 17:27

@CockleburIck glad it's going OK for you now and hope you get back to Oestrogel soon.

I do wonder if a bit if my treatment was stalled due to the lack of oestrogen as I was anticipating being on the gel myself, but my main thing was not taking tablets so am happy to see how it does with the spray.

After the first couple of doses as I had a night of feeling really hot all over...not a flush or a night sweat...I was just like a furnace, and woke up with a headache and feeling nauseous, but have been fine since.

Sleep has been slightly better even since having the coil put in, not perfect by any means but waking up a couple of times a night rather than every hour on the hour 🙄.

Due to gel shortage I got moved to lenzetto a few months ago. The spray is easier but I’ve found symptoms creeping back in and really want my gel back!!
ive been using lenzetto before bed though and am wondering if changing to morning would help-has anyone tried this?

BuddhaAtSea · 08/06/2022 05:01

Lenzetto doesn’t do anything for me, apart from giving me horrendous bloating. I love Sandrena, but can’t find it. I’m on a pump now. Messy but it’s ok, I shower, then do my face routine and brush teeth and it’s dry by then.

Taikirisi · 08/06/2022 08:07

I think I’ll have to go back to the GP-I didn’t mind waiting for the gel to dry at all xx

MintyCedricRidesAgain · 08/06/2022 09:12

Well I'm a month in now and sleeping better than I have in ages and no hot flushes.

My joints felt much better initially too although had noticed a few creaks in the last week so wonder about trying 2 sprays as like @CockleburIck it doesn't always seem to dispense a full squirt!

@Runaround50 you don't feel the coil at all. I was pleasnalty surprised that even on the day of fitting I felt fine afterwards. I think I tool a couple of painkiller just before the appointment but nor more after that.

Yes. I love it.

Oblomov22 · 09/06/2022 16:39

I might have some of this HRT soon.

Oblomov22 · 09/06/2022 16:39

I might have some of this HRT soon.

It's great. My symptoms were fairly mild (apart from the raging insomnia) but I feel so much better on it.

Have had a really stressful few years and kept chalking all the symptoms up to that...it was only about a year ago that I realised it was hormonal.

I'm getting on fine after the forced switch to Lenzetto from Oestrogel. Took a bit of working out. I needed one more dose to get the same effect.
My anxiety has dissipated and I'm sleeping better; the libido makes an occasional reappearance, too! And my hair seems to be getting thicker 🙂

Taikirisi · 11/06/2022 11:12

I’m on 3 sprays which I believe is the top dose?
