HRT and weight gain (or not)

I’m not feeling too bad at 47 re peri symptoms (a couple that could be helped), and still have periods.

I feel very undecided re HRT.

Has it affected your weight - either up or down, or neutral?

I tried the pill for a month when younger and hated that feeling, might be different.

I too am low carb or more accurately on a complete no junk diet, I eat well. I also sleep well. And I exercise every day.

And I would say I also didn't react that well to the pill - when I look back I was just flat for many years on it. When I came off it, I enjoyed the ups and downs of the natural cycle, particuarly the ovulation days when 'everything is awesome'

HRT also made me less up and down, but also flatter.

Since I have come off it in Jan, I have felt my emotions are much more intense - good and bad!

I think a lot of this is what you are used to, what you value and something about what your expectations are of what 'a good version of you' looks like. So being 'flat' isn't really what I want forever, and I'm finding being off HRT has brought me a bit of fire back into my life.
