Swapping from Oestrogel to Evorel patches and back - dosage?

Does anyone understand how to compare the doses of oestrogen in Oestrogel(Estradiol gel) and Evorel patches?

The Oestrogel says each pump has 0.75mg (milligrams) of Estradiol (I'm taking two pumps, so 1.5mg)
The Evorel patch says it releases 50 micrograms of Estradiol in 24 hours

Given I was prescribed the patch as a temporary measure when the gel wasn't available, are these doses comparable, as they seem way off. I was assuming it was to do with milligrams and micrograms, but that doesn't explain it.

I did it the other way a couple of years back

Have a look here - Estradiol is listed

I was once prescribed the patches instead of the gel when I was travelling for a few weeks.
I usually have 3 pumps and I had the Evorel 75 patch and it felt exactly right.

Thank you both, the article and the 3 pumps = Evorel 75 both suggest that the dosage is correct.

It does mean I can't blame the massive sugar binges on the change in HRT, though Grin

You can as long as nobody else knows the real reason 😆

Yep! One pump of Oestrogel = 25mg
