What type are you taking and how much? Those sound more like menopause symptoms than those of HRT?

Itsallrocknroll · 03/05/2022 23:28

I wasn't clear. I meant to state what I was experiencing and only mentioned I was on HRT in case someone said HRT may help. 🙄

I think it's relevant if you can say how long you were experiencing these symptoms; your age; what blood tests your GP has done if any and for what; how long you've been on HRT; and what dose.

elleste duo 2mg just under a year. Blood test showed low iron so had supplements also taking multivitamins and been feeling like this a couple of months

I think brain fog is a peri menopause symptom that can be treated by testosterone. But I think guidelines say you can’t be prescribed it for brain fog but that you have to be prescribed it on the basis of low libido 🙄. Maybe check out Louise newson’s podcast or book.

We still need more info 🙂Your age is relevant (younger women sometimes need a higher dose) and also you are on tablet form HRT. This is sometimes not absorbed very well by the gut, so some women find patches or gel better.

Ideally you need a blood test to see how your estrogen levels on this dose of HRT, are BUT if you are young(er) and in peri meno, rather than post meno, blood tests when using HRT are still a bit unreliable.

Are you using the sequential or continuous form of elleste? ie do you have a withdrawal bleed monthly?
