Hi I'm 51 and really suffering. Especially with brain fog. I feel like I'm going mad some days. I do also get night sweats, which are affecting my sleep. I have so many aches and pains mainly lower back pain which is driving me mad. I also have no libido. I went to my GP who won't give me HRT because my mother and grandmother had breast cancer. Some days I'm at my wits end. Does anyone else feel like this or is it just me. I'm not sure whether to take any supplements

See a different GP. Honestly, your GP is wrong to deny you HRT on that basis alone.

Did you see Davina’s programme last night on Channel 4? If not watch it, and the one she did a few years ago which is available on All4. Then arm yourself with info and go back to your surgery, ask to see the menopause lead (if they have one) and don’t let them bully you.

Have a read of this balance-menopause.com/uploads/2021/10/Breast-cancer-and-HRT-Feb-22-update.pdf

The website has lots of useful information on it that you can search through to arm yourself with when you talk to your GP.

Hi, advice needed please
My doctor has just upped my ellleste duet tablets from 1mg to 2mg, I am only 4 days into my old 1mg pack, can you change to the 2mg straight away or should you finish the pack of 1mg first and then start on the 2mg, can’t see anything on the instructions x

You’re probably better starting your own thread on the Menopause board.
