Does hrt help anxiety?

Im at the end of my tether. I have propranolol which works but doesn't stop my brain. I tried setraline, which caused abnormal bleeding and months waiting for investigations which caused me more anxiety.

Im not depressed. I was always a worrier but menopause seems to have increased it so much. I cant calm down from it when I'm worrying, its like i go inside my head and can't come out. I cant think straight. CBT and talking therapies didnt touch the sides. I cant talk to dh anymore, he keeps saying i need to see someone. He doesn't worry at all.
So ,please can anyone tell me, does hrt help with anxiety?
Thank you.

I am in the exact place you are in right now. I’ve had anxiety all my life but since my mid 40’s (49 now) it’s been on a level I have never known. Had cbt, counselling, hypnotherapy but it does nothing. Awful health anxiety too which is exacerbated by all my ongoing symptoms, vicious cycle!
As soon as I wake, I long to get to night time so I can sleep again.
I am seriously considering HRT.

I told dh, he says ive always been a worrier. But he said it has got worse. But is that menopause or my stage of life...lost parents years ago, kids grown up and starting to move away, no relationship with any extended family....it just feels lonely and sad. Dont know if hrt is the answer though. Id like a totally different mindset, or an off switch in my head. I just want peace from continuous negative scary thoughts.

Im watching. It came on, dh immediately said is there anything else on? I said i want to watch it, he said ill listen to a podcast then. I said you should watch it too, you should know the reason why i feel crap sometimes. I said if theres something making you feel crap id want to know. Think thats the worst of it, no one to share with.
