'm nearing the end of my second month of HRT. I'm nearly 42 and after a little persuasion my GP prescribed HRT - Sandrena 1mg daily and Utrogestan 200mg, 12 days, for symptoms of anxiety, mood, night sweats, early waking insomnia and joint pain. There's been a huge overall improvement in mood, anxiety and general well being. All of the symptoms have improved, and until this past week I commented that I actually felt like myself for the first time in months.
However the past week, from around day 13/14, symptoms have worsened again. Overall I still feel better but early waking and night sweats are present again. As it begins before actually starting the utrogestan I'm inclined to think the Sandrena needs to increase rather than it being related to the utrogestan. I'm wondering whether to try increasing the Sandrena at this point, perhaps adding in a half sachet at night, or wait it out another cycle for the GP 3 month review? How likely is a GP to increase the dose and would would be the appropriate increase if necessary? My concern though is this means my existing supply will run out sooner...Any thoughts or experiences appreciated!
