Does it matter if utrogestan is out of sync with periods?

I'm 44 and perimenopausal but still have regular periods. Have swapped this cycle from Evorel Sequi 50 to Evorel Conti 75 + 12 days of utrogestan. I was told by doctor that I should take the utrogestan in the last 12 days of my cycle, which would be starting this Friday. My period has come early, today. Does it matter that the utrogestan is out of sync with my period (presumably it's supposed to coincide with your period)? Will they eventually sync up? If they don't, presumably there will be months where I'm ovulating while taking the utrogestan which seems weird -- but maybe it's fine. Any advice welcomed, thank you very much.

  • Sorry I should have said Estradot 75 is the new regime, plus utrogestan, not Evorel at all.

No it doesn't matter. In time it will all coincide.
