Can tablets become less effective over time?
I was started Femistron last summer. I am still having periods but was having hot flushes, vaginal dryness and itchiness amongst other things.
The tablets really helped at first.
The hot flushes have not come back but my body is constantly itching, I have got vaginal dryness again and loss of sex drive.
I’ve not had chance to talk to my doctor for a review yet but wanted to get other people opinions about options may work for me going forward.
My skin is so scratched I have drawn blood and I am also having genital itching….. it’s driving me mad!

Sounds as thought the tablet isnt't strong enough for you now.
Which femestom is it?
I have been on conti 1mg for 3 months and all my symptoms have returned.
I feel wretched. The loss of sex drive, itchy skin, dryness etc etc, all resonate with me too.

I would either increase or change.

I'm in femistron 2/10mg.
Initially it seemed great but apart from the burning in my face and feeling like my head was going to explode which hasn't returned a lot of tbe initial symptoms have come back.

Sounds like you aren't absorbing any longer or you need a different product altogether then.

I have switched to the patch again today, as my symptoms are pretty much back on FC.
