Menopause clinic north west

Can anyone recommend a specialist menopause clinic in the North West? Looking for personal recommendations. Am trying through GP but it's been a month now. had bloods and was supposed to be getting review post blood in a view to start HRT but specific GP only works 2 days a week and I cant book an appointment as we have to fight on the phone line for an appointment on those 2 days she is in so it could be weeks before I win the phone roulette.
The insomnia and brain fog is getting me down.

Hi, I've had good experiences with www.newsonhealth.co.uk

They also have a waiting list, I think about three months.

They're not in the North West, but offer online video consults via Zoom, and can sort out all the prescribing etc remotely.

Ok thanks. I have seen Louise Newsons site, lots of great info, but was put off by the long waiting list and didn't realise they did zoom calls. So that's definitely an option. I,m struggling to get anywhere with GP so was willing to raid the savings, brain fog insomnia, and achy joints really getting me down.

Since the pandemic, most consultants are offering video consultations. Mine is (London.) However, I've been with them for many years and can see the advantage of meeting in person, which I did before the pandemic.

So in theory you could see any number of private consultants (they don't always run a 'clinic'- clinics tend to be NHS whereas consultants have their own practices and consulting rooms (if that makes sense.) Mine does call his a 'clinic' as it happens but it's inside a private hospital.

If you are completely stuck have you thought of looking at private hospitals in your area and narrowing it down to a few gynaes who offer meno support? And maybe asking about them if you want to stay local.

yes, I,ve found a few clinics, but there are limited reviews and I was kind of hoping someone would have personal experience and could recommend one in the northwest area. I don't mind travelling

I am not sure if you are still looking but I have just seen Zoe Hodson at the Manchester Menopause Hive. She has worked with Louise Newson, and I found her name when following links for the Newson clinic that is being set up in the North West.
She was brilliant, and I have recommended her on to all of my friends!
I had found this thread when I was trying to find recommendations so thought I would come back and update.
