I've been on hrt patches since October ish. I increased to 75mg four months when some symptoms began to return. Over the past two days my hips and knees have started to hurt again. Today I'm in bed in agony with them. I know I need to get up and move to see if it helps but instead I'm laid in bed after a horrendous nights (no) sleep feeling sorry for myself. Why now? I'm into my second box of estradot (first week) so I don't know what has made it come back.

I always think that ongoing serious joint pain ought to be investigated and not assume it's anything to do with meno. You could have arthritis, or even rheumatoid arthritis. Any thoughts on that? Also, not exercising can cause joints to seize up. Anyone with joint pain (even with RA) is advised to exercise to keep it all moving.

Hi, it's not something I have suffered with until about Jan last year. As soon as I got onto hrt it went and it's just back now. If it was something else surely it wouldn't present like that? I was busy all day yesterday so it's only today that I've been still and that's because I wanted a quick hours nap before I carried on. Plus it's sore now but not unbearable but when I lie down it's incredibly painful.
