Swapping from sequi tablets to sequi patches due to HBP

I'm on day 8 (of month 3) elleste duet 1mg tablets, but due fo my blood pressure going up quite drastically the GP has swapped me onto Evorel sequi patches but with no advice on how to do so (phone consultation with male gp who "doesn't prescribe much hrt", had to hang up & go get advice from a female gp before sending the prescription to the pharmacy). I had a text to inform me it had been prescribed and to have each patch on for two weeks. That's the extent of the info given.
Pharmacist seemed confused as to what to do, leaflet in patches pack says finish any other hrt course before commencing if swapping.

Just a bit concerned about taking another 3 weeks of tablet's given the effects on bp & wondering has anyone done an immediate swap onto patches part way through a cycle? My thinking was to begin estrogen patch tomorrow for another week, then switch to progesterone the week after?
Or will I completely screw my cycle up by doing that? (One thing pharmacist did say is the patches take a few days to "kick in")
Really unsure what to do for the best, any advice much appreciated.
