For the first five months after diagnosis I was using the everol conti 50.
I found that whilst it helped some of my symptoms some were still really bad. I asked my doctor to increase the dose to 75mg.
This led to her putting me on estradot 75 patches and progesterone tablets.
She said they don't do the progesterone patches with 75mg patches.
Thing is I thought I had read the instructions right on the patches but I'm so confused now I've realised that there are 8 patches in the box. I thought it was just the same as with everol. Four patches over two weeks then the tablets for two weeks then back on the patches and so on.
The box of patches says that it's a months worth but it would be two months worth taking them the way I am. Or do I continue with the 75mg so I've always got one on and then take the tablets for the last two weeks?
I've looked online and can't seem to find a definitive answer so I'm hoping someone on here can help.

Also I've had really painful boobs since starting on it too.

You use the oestrogen patches continuously you don't take a break, you shouldn't have been having a break at all with evorel and don't with estradot. Two patches a week every week with progesterone added for 2 weeks, Did your gp not explain that you need to keep oestrogen constant? No wonder you've been having symptoms you've been in an hormonal rollercoaster.

Why have you been swapped from a combined/ continuous regime, to a sequential regime in the first place?

With Everol sequi you would have half the patches in the box with just estrogen and half with estrogen+ progestogen.

With Everol continous all the patches would have estrogen+ progesterone.

As PP says, you need estrogen daily, so every day you use a patch.

For 12 days of the month you ALSO take utrogestan.

I think from what you have said you were not on conti.
Everol comes as a continuous regime AND a sequential regime.

Do you know which you had?

Sorry it was everol sequi.
