Are these night sweats?

Most nights I wake up with sweat running down my cleavage, armpits & sometimes between my legs. I'm by no means drenched, the rest of me is dry and certainly no need to change bedclothes (I sleep naked). I'm not even sure they wake me up as I notice it when I get up for a wee. A quick wipe & I'm dry. I do tend to sleep curled up in a ball under the duvet so those are the areas that get squished iykwim! The room is cool. I've been a bit hot & sweaty at night for a few years now and DH has long commented I feel hot but it's definitely become more pronounced over the last year since I stopped the pill.

I'm over 50 and, apart from increasingly wacky periods, don't really have any other obvious peri symptoms, such as hot flushes. If anything, I'm more likely to complain of feeling cold during the day!

Anyone else?

Probably. I'd say mine were like that but I also had hourly hot flushes.
The sweats didn't wake me but I tended to be awake off and on all night anyway.

All of this varies hugely between women.

Yes sounds familiar. I’m 51 and don’t get flushed in the day. Most nights I’ll wake up hot, kick the duvet off and something have sweat in this areas. Never so sweaty to make my nightshirt damp though, just hot even my fingers feel hot and sometimes my eyeballs feel cooked if that doesn’t sound too strange. I’m the same re feeling a bit chilly in the day. I did go through a week last year where I felt hot every night around 9pm but that seems to have gone away again.
