Struggling with cycle

I'm nearly 50. Cycle has always been 28 days - now going a bit loopy! Anyway I'm struggling with physical side effects from my cycle. Does this sound like peri and would HRT help?
When I have my period all is ok. Straight afterwards I get about a week of headaches, brain fog and constipation. Then around day 14 my joints (hand, knees, get start to ache) and I feel ridiculously tired. When I take my dog for a 30 minute stroll, I feel like I might not make it home as I'm so breathless and exhausted. Also around this time I go in to very loose bowels mode and start to wake feeling anxious. The anxiety continues until my period comes around. The fatigue usually lasts about about 3/4 days. Every month is the same. I feel like my cycle rules my life.
I've always been a worrier and about 3 years ago the GP prescribed me beta blockers which helped. I took them twice a day and then after 9 months reduced to 1 a day and then stopped. I would take one when I felt I needed it, but I've restarted them (had loads of boxes) and they're not helping my anxiety.

Yes it does sound like peri.
But the breathlessness you report when walking the dog sounds like me before I found out my ferritin was low. When I went on the iron tablets a lot of other symptoms I’d put down to peri and ageing went too.
So if I were you I’d ask to check your iron levels. Then, if you go on HRT, consider a coil to hopefully stop your periods.
