Hi , I’ve recently started Everol 75 and continuous Utrogestan, how ever I had a bleed which lasted 5 days along with awful itching inside my labia
I contacted my menopause Dr and she advised administering Ovestin twice a week
I’m a bit nervous of it tbh , why isn’t the patch enough ? Is Ovestin safe long term these might sound like irrational questions but it took me a long time to start HRT & even when I got the prescription my head was over thinking .
Are any of you ladies taking Ovestin ? Has it helped with the discomfort ? Atm I’m itchy , bloated and not in a good place

Ovestin a very weak. If you used it 2 x a week for a year, it would be less estrogen that you are getting in ONE DAY with your patch.

I've used it for 15 years and started on it before full HRT.

1 in 4 women need both.

It's safe. Just go for it!

Also....as this is your first month on combined hrt, you should find you don't bleed after 6 months or less.

If you are not 12 months post meno, you need sequential, not continuous (but I assume your dr knows this!?)

Thankyou for your reassurance , I started off last year on Estrogel I got up to 4 pumps but wasn’t absorbing it so my Dr recommended patches now my lower regions are getting uncomfortable

I use it. Its been a life saver.

One thing I've learned is, the changes don't go backwards and the discomfort will come back and get worse if you don't use it. I have learned this to my cost! Every two days, maybe three, and no more soreness or discomfort.

Yup, Ovestin was magical for me - was getting loads of UTIs but now no more. I also have patches, oral progesterone and am about to start testosterone.
