No period for a year - what now?

Hi, on Sunday coming, it will be one year since my last period.

I had a few years of perimenopause symptoms and in the past year I get night swears, anxiety, pain pretty much all over amongst other things.

All in all it hasn't been too bad but what can I expect now as I haven't had a period for a year.

Will I still get all the menopause symptoms? Will they get worse?

Am I now in menopause or am I post menopausal?

Nobody knows as we are all different and these things rarely follow the textbook.
The only thing that is certain is that someone will be along soon to exhort you to get HRT

let us know how it went, OP, update us in 2027? :)

Celebrate! you are considered menopausal now.

If you have any issues, call and make an appointment with your doctor (if you can get in). They may do some baseline health checks for bone density and heart health.

It helps to do some reading, since you may have some issues that you didn't even realize are affected by hormones. There are lots of good books available.

I haven't had a period for 3 months now so I'm assuming I'm heading into the menopause (I'm 55). But apart from.brain fog I'm not having any other symptoms - no hot flushes, no night sweats, nothing. Does this mean I'm going to get through it relatively symptom free?
