Bleeding panic

Reading lots of posts about on Evorel Conti. I've been on it for 10 months, 9 with no problems. In the last 12 weeks I started taking Vagifem, with in a few weeks I started spotting. I stopped the Vagifem but the bleeding is coming very 2 weeks. Reading on here people go to their doctor and then get referred for scans, my anxiety is through the roof at the thought it could be something sinister. Please reassure me! I am paralysed with fear and can't even call the GP.

I can't comment on the Vagifem but honestly please report the bleeding to your doctor. I've had unexplained bleeding post menopause and got referred under the 2 week wait for a scan and biopsy.

Most of the time it's nothing sinister at all but it does need investigating. Please speak to your GP.

Thanks, I did call the GP. Unfortunately it was a locum and I don't think he knew much about HRT. He said they would need to look at my cervix to see what's going on. Appt in 2 weeks time.

I think you need an earlier appt. as you will definitely be referred to the hospital. I am still waiting for my appt for a scan and it was supposed to be 2 weeks after my doctor's appt - has been 3 so far and no appt. I would try the Dr. again tomorrow and ask if you can be seen sooner.

I had some spotting on conti HRT and my gp referred me under the 2-week wait.

You need a scan of your ovaries, womb and cervix. It's likely to be nothing.
