Severe leg pain - wondering if it’s connected to taking Utrogestan & using Oestrogel

Has anyone used either of these? The doctor is sending me for a scan as she suspected arthritis in my hip but I wonder if it could be vascular? I’m really struggling to function & my leg feels a dead weight when I lift it eg bend my knee up. Also it came on pretty suddenly & I wouldn’t have thought it works like that with arthritis. I’m going back to the doctor, for stronger pain relief if nothing else, but meanwhile thought I’d ask if anyone has had similar with Oestrogel/ Utrogestan

@CurryLover56 Check the list of side effects on both.

Leg pain in your calf especially with hotness and swelling can be a blood clot. In which case you need A&E asap.

It's probably not, but don't take a chance.

You're not the same poster but using a different name who has posted similar yesterday? That poster was sent to check out for a clot.

You need to get checked out in case it's a clot. Also, have you had COVID recently? A lot of people getting a type of arthritis/hip pain after that.

The pain is in my upper leg - front thigh, inner thigh & slightly into the groin.

Sounds like you have pulled a muscle perhaps? Why not a referral to a physio- or self-refer to one?
