Peri with heavier periods ? More kids ? Mirena coil

Hi all

I appreciate any and all help I can get.
I'm almost 42 with 2 kids, I'm experiencing loads of peri menopausal symptoms including heavier periods.
My doctor has suggested a mirena coil to help the heavier periods and provide an element of HRT.
I'm debating having the coil as i am still considering having 1 more chance of a 3rd and final child although I am unsure of the possibility due to the peri menopause.
Are there other ways of receiving HRT of progesterone and estrogen which will calm the heavy bleeding and means a mirena may not be needed?
Also has anyone any experience of being peri and still being able to have children ?
So many questions in my head so any thoughts and experiences are welcome

Once you get a coil it can be a battle to get it removed, particularly with the backlog of appointments due to covid. If you’re 42 and thinking about another baby I would hesitate to get one as you might have a while to wait to get it removed when you want TTC.

I don’t know but I do know the coil really helped my excessively long and heavy periods. I had one at 47 and added Oestrogel at 50.

Thanks both any thoughts advice and experiences are greatly appreciated. It's such a difficult decision especially when I have ridiculous brain fog and anxiety (I think owing to being peri) so struggle to make a confident decision
