Estrogel making me feel crazy

Hi there,

I was on femostone for 5 months but my doctor took me off them as I was getting migraines. So now I'm on estrogel and ultrogestan. I've only been using this combination for 4 days, so far the ultrogestan has been amazing. I'm back to sleeping all night again and feel great! But I find when I take 1 pump of estrogel I feel wired, angry, irritable and just very spaced out like I'm drunk. It's a horrible feeling. So I've lowered the amount to about a quarter of one pump. I use it in the morning after I shower. It helps lowering the amount, but still feel very odd on it. Will these sides effects go?

I'm 46 and still have regular periods , so I'm wondering if I need so much estrogen yet. My main symptoms before HRT were anxiety, low moods and virtually no sleep.

I think if I had to take the recommended 2 pumps I would quite literally be a ball of horrendous temper!

I'm wondering if I could take both the estrogel and ultrogestan at night? Though I'm wondering if the estoegel would interfere with my sleep?

what dose has your dr suggested for Utrogestan?

If you are in peri and were on Femoston, that was a sequential regime ( a 4-week cycle.)

I'm not sure if you are using Utrogestan daily? That's not for women with periods. The regime ought to be the same as Femoston:

estrogen every single day
Utrogestan (2 capsules) for the 2nd half of your monthly cycle, for 12 days.

Is this what you are doing? It's just it doesn't sound like it if you are only on Day 4 and using Utrogestan already.

My doctor told me to take 1 tablet of ultrogestan a day for 25 days, then take 3 days off. So I mainly have a constant supply of progesterone which works for me. That's not the problem for me, it's the estrogen side 😬
