Feeling cold

Just wondered if cold flashes are a thing? I have hours when I can't get warm at all and I just feel awful. Literally shaking and teething chattering cold. Going through Peri and would welcome any ideas to stop it. It's making me feel anxious which I'm sure isn't helping.

Could be. My night sweats have always been cold, clammy sweats, never hot. No ideas on how to stop cold flashes, short of trying HRT, but if I feel cold I generally find a hot drink or hot water bottle and another layer of clothing helps, paying particular attention to getting my hands and feet warm.

Hormone levels fluctuating and decreasing can cause many things.

Imo it's not so much wondering if it is peri related but rather rule out other causes, so get bloods checked for other issues like thyroid problems.

If everything is clear then manage the effects of decreasing oestrogen either by practical measures, in your case by wearing layers etc, or go down the route of medication if it becomes intolerable.
