Premature menopause starting??

Hi.
I'm worried that I might be going into early menopause. I'm 38. My periods have become irregular. Last couple of years.. They always seem a bit late.. Or sometimes a big bit late/early. Recently I started getting hot flushes and that's what's made me worry.
Googling it also says no interest is sex is a symptom. Have that too. Thought I was just going through a phase...
I'm gonna need to go to the doctors, aren't I? I hate going. Also.. I don't do needles and haven't ever had blood taken before and the thought of it freaks me out. Makes me wanna cry just thinking about it.
How bad is it??

It maybe premature menopause, but they need to rule out thyroid problems and also pituitary problems. Under active thyroid can mess with your cycle and overactive pituitary ( prolactinoma) can give you all the symptoms you have.
You need blood tests, make sure they look at prolactin levels since it is often overlooked.
