Menopause, periods - is this a massive coincidence?!

I am 51 and haven't had a period since March 2021. I had hoped I was almost through meno as it is coming up for a year, most symptoms have stopped or very much subsided. No hot flushes, no night sweats, very infrequent hormonal headaches.

Last weekend my DD (23) moved home for the first time in 4 years. She started her period yesterday, I was telling her I thought mine were over.

Today I got a period!!!! Not a vague kind of old blood one - a full on proper period, with cramps.

Is this her fault?!!! (Obviously I'm joking but how cruel can mother nature be?)

I don't know but my DD had the opposite, hasn't had one for months (minipill) but went away and unexpectedly got one, I was joking that I was menstruating for the both of us when she was at home as I seem to be bleeding all the time but now she's away she's having to do it for herself!

We do naturally sync up cycles with the women we are around a lot so yes I'd deffo blame your dd for this!
