I have been on hrt 6 weeks have had my coil in for 4 years never had a period in that time just light spotting. Have just had a lot of blood and had to use a pad is this normal, I’m dealing with on going health problems at the moment, so I’m really hoping this is because of the hrt has anyone had this ?

Evening, OP. We just thought we'd bump this for you in case anyone else is around who's had this coil and knows more.

It’s not unusual to have bleeding in the first few months of starting HRT. When is your review with the doctor? Mention it then.

Thank you, it’s not for a few months, just wondered if anyone has had this happen to them

I had this about a month ago too, despite being on Marina for 7 years with no bleeding. I am also on HRT but have been on it for only about 9 months. One of my friends suggested it was a side effect of the vaccine booster - have you recently had yours as well? It was strange having to run out and get sanitary supplies again - I was not impressed to be having a period once more Grin

No I haven’t had the vaccines due to health problems. I had sudden bleeding really heavy, but stopped after an hour, very unusual thanks for replying

I have this too.
Coils for 12 years
Started HRT late last year
For the past month i had bloating, pain during sex and other times, gushes of blood then nothing for hours then same again

It's now stopped!

I've had a scan which was NAD and am now waiting to see my gynae consultant

That’s the same as me a lot of blood then nothing, I’m having so many tests at the moment, just another part of my body that needs checking out I suppose
