Fell so much better on progesterone

Am I an odd one out? I feel so much better when I take my combined white tablet that includes progesterone. I sleep better, glowing skin, fab mood, hair thick and bouncy and generally life feels how it did in my thirties. Red tablets that are just oestrogen make me feel like one got the rage and I get very agitated. Does anyone else find this?

I think you have to report your post and ask for it to be moved.

I’m the same although they made me feel sick and dizzy so started taking them at night.

I’m the same, I find without progesterone I feel super lethargic.

First red tablet yesterday and I was awake at 4am! I think you probably feel tired because you don't sleep as well, supposed to be out Saturday but a friend is going that always interrogates me. Already feeling anxious so probably won't go.

On off the wall suggestion- maybe you are sensitive to the red dye of the pills? I've never used pills and I'd suggest you might think about other forms of estrogen- gel or a patch.

mrsnw · 09/02/2022 20:40

@JinglingHellsBells I think you might be right. I've just started my last packet so I'm going to call the doc and see if I can get a gel and tablet. What do you recommend I try first? I know it's all trial and error with hrt. Thank you

I took provera for a couple of months after a massive bleed and felt so much better on them, I had been stupidly anxious and that cleared and I felt so much happier.

I've been off them for 2 months and if my periods come back again I'm going to ask to go on them.

I saw the gynae after the bleed and asked about HRT and she said I didn't need it.

OP oestrogel and utrogestan is a common combination.
