Low blood sugar especially after napping

I'm 43 and have been in peri for a couple of years now.

I have a period every 2-3 months (previously like clockwork).

Today I had a lovely nap (was out last night and didn't sleep well after). When I woke up I felt dreadful for about an hour and a half - a bit detached, trembly, irritable, brain fog, felt a bit weak like I couldn't do much physical. I had a gut feeling it was low blood sugar so googled and it described how I felt perfectly.

I've had this a few times recently after sleeping (particularly napping). Im not diabetic and as far as I know don't have any other health concerns. Im (fairly) fit and have a fundamentally good diet). I eat regularly and stay hydrated.

Could this be peri causing this? It really freaked me out today.
