Any tried and tested exercises to concentrate on tummy area?
I treadmill run and use a rowing machine 3 or 4 times weekly and eat fairly sensibly but can't shift the extra weight around my tummy.

am pretty sure you can't spot -reduce fat from any specific area.

Overall weight loss may help

Yoga will do it without you ever doing crunches. Completely changed my body shape. Need to be doing 5 hours a week.

It is all down to diet, rather than exercise, I’m afraid.

I had to really reduce calories and get towards the lower end of bmi to shift it but I’m thinner now than I was pre menopause! No exercise other than a 30 min walk a day.

No bread, cakes, wine, chocolate, biscuits, carbs Sadly

Unfortunately, post menopause you need rather fewer calories than you think you do.

I’m 58, weight train most days, I run at least twice a week, average 8 - 10 km, eat healthily but I have not given up any food groups. I think it’s stupid to stop eating food you love, just be moderate.

I’m a size 10, and my weight and lifestyle have been pretty consistent for the last 20 years.

You can't just loose fat from one area what will help is drastically reducing refined carbs and improving your core strength through weight and resistance training, maybe swap a couple of your cardio sessions for weight training and Pilates. If you train your abdominal muscles it will give you an all over better shape and posture.

Swimming a mile front crawl twice a week keeps me trim around the middle, as well as really helping posture / avoiding back pain which is the main reason I do it. For me it has to be front crawl, breaststroke doesn't work as well at all (shame as I swim a lovely breaststroke and find it very relaxing).
I don't want to lose weight as much healthier with a little extra cushion (was below recommended BMI before menopause), so exercise is definitely the thing for keeping in shape.
