Anyone else experienced like PMS on HRT

I started HRT and on reflection after about 9 months I'd gained weight (can put that down to natural age process) amd become really quite tiresome to live with . I can only describe is as like the PMS I used to get . Sort of really wound up and argumentative before my period but all the time .
I didn't want to yo yo my HRT so after a good 9 months I came off for 3 .
It could be coincidence but I don't think I got that feeling amd it subsided . There were no arguments at home and it felt like I'd sort of I wound .
I did lose my sex drive a bit off HRT amd know I need to be on it as I have a condition which apparently it can help , so last week I started it back .
Again could be coincidence but honestly I feel like I could snap I'm so wound up .
Is this me just blaming HRT for my raging feelings of stress do you think ?
Thanks

Yes, I've just taken myself off it. The synthetic progestins do not agree with me and seriously intensify my pms to the point I would say it was pmdd. It made me depressed and angry. I had the same reaction years ago when I took norethisterone. I have a telephone consult next week and am going to ask for body identical HRT to see it that's any better as unfortunately my symptoms have returned with a vengance and I'm getting very little sleep Sad.
