Going from gel to patch - but a reduced dose

I’ve recently been prescribed a patch rather than using the daily gel. My GP increased by gel dose to 150mcg a day, which gradually was having no impact on my symptoms.

She suggested I try a patch instead. I’ve picked up the prescription today, it’s for 100mcg, so less than I am taking.

I am awaiting an appointment with a menopause service as I’m 45 and my bloods suggest I’m post menopausal.

I’m so frustrated. It’s impossible to get an appointment with the GP, and absolutely impossible to get through on the phone to even get some advice.

Feel so frustrated!

That's not how they compare @checkedcloth :)

Gel is 0.75mgs per pump so 2 pumps is 1.5mgs of estrogen a day.

1.5mgs is equal to a 50mcg patch.

This table shows the comparisons- bottom of the page.

A 100mcg patch= 3/4 pumps of gel
