Lots of symptoms - but periods completely unchanged

I’m 49, will be 50 in July. I’ve had various menopause (oestrogen deficiency) symptoms for a couple of years now, though I’ve only recently recognised them as such. All of them are new, not things I’ve had in the past, and my diet / exercise / drinking et have not changed for years now:

Hot flushes, occasionally
Middle body weight gain
Rage, irritation, impatience etc (I’m usually a very calm and patient person)
Recurrent UTIs, presumably due to dryness
Beginnings of gum disease, dry mouth etc

However, my periods are regular as ever. 30-34 days cycle, no changes at all. Very heavy for the first couple of days, then finished a day or two later.

Is there any point in pursuing Hrt at this point? I have an appointment with a menopause specialist gynae in March (I’m not in the UK) and I’m wondering if I should be aiming to come away from that rdv with a prescription for hrt or not. Or if i should be putting the rdv off until my periods stop?

Op, if I were you I would consider getting on hrt now. The recurrent uti's can be atrophy and this can get much worse. Even getting on vaginal pessaries and cream will help that area alone if you don't want to start on gel or patches. It took me over a year to get pain and soreness under control, I really wish I had started at first sign of symptoms.

I'm 48 have regular periods and am on HRT for peri menopausal symptoms. Definitely worth talking to your GP.

Im much younger, periods were pretty regular and I could even tell I was mostly ovulating.

Had all the other symptoms though and more; her has been amazing. Just trial it. Definitely re Utis.
