Question about my prescription

I had an appointment with a menopause specialist doctor a couple of days ago. She prescribed HRT gel to rub on my arm, HRT vaginal pessary and Progesterone vaginal pessary. I have a mirena coil in but it is 4 years old. She advised me to get it removed and a new one put in. I have an appointment in two weeks time to do this. She prescribed the progesterone to take in the meantime.

My question is am I better off waiting to start everything when I have the new mirena fitted. This would mean I don't have to get the vaginal progesterone at all then.

I probably would, just for stability. I felt better pretty soon after mine was changed but it was way past 4 years. I had to wait ages for it to be changed then started with a gel. Definitely better!

Thanks Wombat98, it's a real pain I couldn't get a sooner appointment to get the mirena replaced.
