Is this anxiety?

I’m pretty sure I’m going through peri-men. I’m 47, periods not as regular as always have been. My main symptom is acute anxiety… but I want to check my symptoms are actually anxiety.

I wake in the night, tonight with a rushing sound in my ear, or my heart beating fast, or my mind racing. My eyes are making shapes in the dark and there are weird flashes. I feel nauseous. Freaking out, but also weirdly calm.
I always reach for my phone to either calm myself down using the calm app, or distract myself by scrolling through news or whatever. I become more and more wide awake. Then I always need to go for a poo. It can sometimes take a few minutes to calm down, other times literally hours, often not falling asleep until 5.30-6am.

I’m just googling menopause clinics, but would be grateful if someone could advise… are the above symptoms of anxiety? I’ve had a hideous full week of it. It also affects me in the day.

I would suggest a trip to the GP. Sounds like there could be various things that might cause those symptoms. Inner ear problem? Yes, maybe anxiety? But I would check out all possibilities.
