Hot face/facial flushing

Have started getting a hot, red, stinging face. I do get hot flushes too, but this feels different - it's not my torso where I normally feel the hot flush, it's just my face! The skin feels a bit stingy too, like I've got a touch of sunburn.

Is this (yet another) menopause symptom? Triggers seem to be having a hot drink or walking into a warm room.

Am wondering if I should just live with it or see a doctor in case it's rosacea or something.

Hi
I do not seem to get a hot all over flush, like you I go red in face, burn up and feel like my face is on fire.Since starting hrt patches that has helped and I don’t get it now anymore ! So could only have been my version of hot flushes?!

Hi BrightonMama
A new menopause clinic has opened in Brighton. It's at 66 East Street and part of Living Room Health.
They have all sorts of tests and people to talk to.
I was there today and thought I'd share.

Bizzare question @BrightonMama - you aren't using L'Oréal golden age moisturiser are you?? I had exactly the same issue come on out the blue after using this, and clearly I'm very allergic to something in it-and so indeed are lots and lots of women once I looked online via Google. !!! Felt like my face was on fire, particularly forehead top of nose and cheekbones

Could be a hot flush or rosacea. Mine flares up more now I’m older.
