HRT cycle query

Started on HRT a few weeks ago, having not had periods for two months. Evolet patches 50mg and progesterone tablets.

Progesterone prescribed for days 14-18 of my cycle, so started taking it after two weeks using patches. A week in, my period has started meaning that it's now Day 1.

Do I stop progesterone now and start it again in 2 weeks? I think yes but I hadn't thought to ask the GP about this when it was prescribed.

This happened to me. I just reset - counted the first day of my period as day one of my cycle and didn’t take the progesterone until it was due in that cycle.
